David Wityk, Visual Artist/Photographer, 30. David Wityk calls Winnipeg his core of operations, where he works teaching photography, facilitating art workshops for community arts centres and producing his own work. Wityk's current bodies of photography deal with urban geography and industrial history, the effect of time gone by in our environment and our treatment of it. Many of Wityk's non-photo based works are head quartered out of his Chinatown studio, that includes light hearted and media based works ranging from small paintings to collage. Wityk is part of Winnipeg's Two-Six Art Club; many of their pre-fabs can be found nailed in the streets and their art in the galleries. Wityk is a graduate from the University of Manitoba’s school of fine art with a degree in photography.
